Program Description

The Minor in Audiology introduces undergraduate students to the science of hearing and balance and the clinical practice of audiology. Students explore auditory anatomy and physiology, phonetics, disorders, and foundations of evidence-based and technological approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of hearing, balance, and related disorders. The minor complements majors in health science, behavioral sciences, engineering, and education, and supports students preparing for graduate study (e.g., Doctor of Audiology program) at Sacramento State and related careers.

Admission Requirements

Students must be enrolled in the Health Science Major or related bachelor’s degree program. Students must earn a grade of C- or better for courses to serve as prerequisites.
