Program Description

The Minor in Fashion Merchandising and Management provides the contextual knowledge necessary to understand the economic, social, and environmental impacts of the fashion industry, as well as the role of dress within society and culture. Students engage with coursework that supports their understanding of fashion and enables them to explore topics of interest. Classes instructing on fibers, textiles, apparel construction, production, buying, management, global trade, law, and history are available to minor students. The minor is particularly well-suited for students pursuing careers in art, economics, business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and journalism. 

Minimum Grade Requirement
A minimum grade of 'C-’ is required for all prerequisite courses within and outside the Department.
