Program Description

The Minor in Non-Profit Management is a 15-unit program designed for non-RPTA majors (RPTA majors cannot complete the minor program and should see the link for the related RPTA Certificate Program). The Minor in Non-Profit Management will give students a solid background in grant writing and fundraising for non-profit agencies of all types, as well as skills in leadership, community engagement, and volunteer management for the non-profit sector.

The minor requires 15 units, with at least 9 upper division units taken in residence at Sacramento State.

Admission Requirements: Course prerequisites and other criteria for admission of students to the degree major program, and for their continuation in it.

Minimum Grade Requirement

A grade of "C-" or better is required in all upper division courses applied to the minor.

Minor electives may not include RPTA 1, RPTA 21, RPTA 101, RPTA 102, RPTA 109, RPTA 110, RPTA 115, RPTA 116, RPTA 117, RPTA 118, RPTA 119, RPTA 195 series courses (B, C, D, or E), RPTA 198, or one-unit courses (e.g. RPTA 50).
