Program Description
The Minor in Recreation Management is designed for non-RPTA majors interested in learning about career areas within the recreation field. This broad set of industries can lead to careers in experiential education, community sports (for youths, teens, and adults), outdoor leadership, campus recreation, activity programming, military recreation, intramural league programming, and adventure recreation.
The minor requires 15 units, and must include at least 9 units of upper division coursework taken in residence at Sacramento State.
Minimum Grade Requirement
A grade of "C-" or better is required in all upper division courses applied to the minor.

Minor students with catalog rights prior to Fall 2018 may use RPTA 100 or RPTA 122 in place of, but not in addition to RPTA 30.

With minor advisor approval, up to 3 units of RPTA 199 may be applied to the minor.
